FRINGE
FRINGE-WORTHY FASHIONS ARE BEST IN SHOW FOR SUMMERTIME! So many designers—such as, Sonia Rykiel, Jacquemus, Longchamp,
Coach, Giorgio Armani, Balmain and Givenchy—saw the (fringe) benefits of having fringe in this season’s shows. Fringe detailing, whether in leather, thin metallic strands or thick yarn, appeared as embellished cuffs, necklines, hemlines, and even footwear. As they say, more is more, and that is true of all-over fringe pieces, too, especially on skirts (like we saw at Tom Ford). Take this trend from the runway to real life now—it’s time to shake it!

GOOP MRKT TORONTO
Gwyneth Paltrow is (almost) coming to Toronto! Kind of. Canada’s first goop MRKT is popping up inside The Hazelton Hotel (118 Yorkville Avenue). Paltrow founded and helms the goop lifestyle brand, which also has permanent stores in Los Angeles, New York, and London. Open from June 7 to September 22, the Yorkville location will feature clean beauty, wellness, home essentials and, of course, fashion. Promising a unique, Canada-specific edit, the shop will offer ready- to-wear, swim and activewear from brands including La DoubleJ, ATM, Rhode and goop’s own G. Label
apparel (which Paltrow is pictured wearing here) and G. Sport activewear, and jewellery from lines such as La Californienne and Foundrae.
