Daniel Lismore: Be Yourself, Everyone Else is Already Taken by Hilary Alexander, Paula Wallace and Colin Douglas Gray
As a fabulously dressed eccentric, Daniel Lismore is known for his over-the-top style. And now this book pays tribute to his fascinat- ing approach to fashion, show- casing 30 out ts that reveal his quirky sense of style.
Friends with the likes of designer Vivienne Westwood and singer-songwriter Boy George, the British trendsetter is clearly unafraid to accessorize. From chain mail and statement hats to feathers and shells, Lismore’s wardrobe is wildly fun and de- serving of attention. Little wonder then that British journalist Hilary Alexander, Savannah College of
Art and Design founder Paula Wallace and fashion photographer Colin Douglas Gray came together to share Lismore’s story. Fash- ion fans will certainly enjoy this colourful tale. Rizzoli
Fashion Forward: 300
Years of Fashion by
Pierré Berge, Olivier
Gabet, Pamela Golbin
and Denis Bruna
From the 17th century
period costumes that
ruled during the reign
of Louis XV to modern
day runways, high
fashion has a long and
storied past. Fashion Forward examines the past 300 years of couture, with a focus on major players like Coco Chanel, Chris- tian Dior and Yves Saint Laurent. The book is meant to partner with the Musée des Arts Décoratifs exhibit in Paris that shares its name. Much like the accompany- ing exhibition, the book looks at the link between the decorative
arts and couture. With a glimpse of
Zuber wallpapers and drawings by French illus- trator and designer Paul Iribe, Fashion Forward also aims to delve into art history, and prove that fashion is about more than what you wear. Rizzoli
