With her youthful features and big blue eyes, baby- faced Barbara Palvin is quickly becoming a headliner on the international runways. The 23-year-old rising model was born in Budapest, Hungary, but is on her way to becoming a household name outside her home country.
Palvin was discovered on the streets of Budapest at the age of 13, and moved to Asia to model as a young teenager. In a 2015 interview with Luxuo, the emerging catwalk sensation mused on her mother’s enthusiastic support of her modelling career.
“My mum was travelling with me everywhere so I wasn’t even alone, even when I went to Japan. She was helping me a lot, even on photo shoots,” Palvin said.
Today, the brunette beauty is recognizable for
her curvaceous yet toned figure, which made her a favourite at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2012. Now a L’Oréal spokeswoman, Palvin was also recently titled Sports Illustrated’s 2016 Swimsuit Rookie of the Year.
In addition to walking the runways for the likes of Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Emanuel Ungaro, Palvin can be spotted in Armani’s Acqua di Gioia 2016 fragrance campaign. Away from the catwalks and the cameras, fans can see the laidback yet gorgeous up-and-comer on Instagram, where she posts plenty of silly selfies and no-makeup shots. Whether she’s posting candid snaps from her life or ruling the runways with abandon, expect to see more of this rising fashion star in the season to come.
