because your colour will fade much faster. So I would again recommend a product like JOICO’s Defy Damage sham- poo and conditioner because it will keep the colour and health of the hair longer, which is ex- tremely important. If you are investing in your colour in the salon you definitely can in-
vest in Defy Damage, and it is not that expensive for what you are getting. If you really want to save money, you can buy a curling iron—they’re not that expensive and will last you years. You can easily style your hair at home, add a beachy wave texture to it and call it a day.

I’ve been seeing a lot of re- ally crazy rainbow hair. I don’t mind vivid colours but there has to be some type of blend or thought behind it.
I’ve seen people lighten the hair and then literally throw colour on it. It doesn’t make sense to me at all. I feel like there has to be a vision be- fore you start applying col- our. I’ve also seen this year people putting colour into a spray bottle and spraying it onto the hair. It makes the colour look splotchy and I don’t understand that con- cept whatsoever. Maybe it is cool for a crazy editorial shoot but that’s not wear- able.

The trendiest thing that will never die out is healthy hair. That’s why I think it is so im- portant to invest in good hair products at home. If you are spending money at the salon, you want to maintain that in- vestment at home. Healthy hair will always be on trend.
