  Iris van Herpen: Transforming Fashion
The work of Dutch designer Iris van Herpen officially comes to Toronto this month, with a new exhibition at the ROM in Toronto. Merging art, design and technology, the installation takes a close look at van Herpen’s collections from 2008 to 2015
and explores
contemporary concepts in fashion, such as 3D printing.
The design talent is well known for her collaborations with engineers, scientists and architects, including Canadian architect Philip Beesley. Beesley’s interactive exhibit Transforming Space will also be presented
at the museum. June 2-October 8, Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto

    THE STRAW TOTE
As the temperatures rise and we prepare for sunny days and lazy afternoons, there’s nothing quite like the perfect carryall. The balmy weather ensures that the straw tote is back en vogue;
this time around, though, bright colours are key. We’ve got our eyes on this Nordstrom Color
Pop Woven Tote, $66, which makes a playful statement with its bold pink raffia details and pom-poms. Use it to carry your swimwear and cover-up for a fun beach weekend with friends, or sneak in a picnic lunch and a new paperback for a quiet Sunday by the pool.
