When Ferrin reached her university years, the young thespian found her way to the university of north Carolina school of the Arts, where she stud- ied acting. From there, she decided to pursue the art form professionally, and the rest, as they say, is history.
What would she be doing if she weren’t a screen queen? Ferrin’s answer surprises us. “i could see myself owning a little shop in a small town, where i know everybody. i could also see myself travelling the world, volunteering. i used to think i would be a psychiatrist or therapist, because I de nitely love to hear people’s problems and talk about them,” she muses.

Away from the glare of the spotlight, Ferrin de- scribes her personal style as “pretty relaxed.” When she’s not working, she and her husband like to trav- el. indeed, Ferrin professes a love of the Canadian landscape, in particular Alberta and Vancouver. “Just being in nature is my number one favourite escape,” she shares.
For now, travel might have to wait; 2018 is looking to be a breakthrough year for Ferrin. With Mosaic hitting the small screen this month, we’ll be watching as the rising star transforms into a true leading lady.
