Fall is the perfect time to curl up on the couch, or in bed, with a new novel that is set to capture your attention. Here are some of the best coming out soon.

With the holidays quickly coming up many of us will be hitting the bookstores looking for the latest offerings that peek our curiousity. We’ll either pick them up to read during our time off, or put them on our gift lists so others can get them for us. Whatever the case may be, here are the top four books you won’t want to miss as we inch closer to winter and the holiday season.

On March 24th The Internet Archive launched what they are calling a “National Emergency Library”, and through it they starting making 1.4 million books available for free online. Is what they are doing a good idea though? Or are they violating the authors copyright?

A good book will stay with you once it’s done. You’ll think about it over and over, and want to talk to others about it. A truly classic book won’t fade either, and in many cases you’ll want to pick it up soon after you’ve finished it. Here are some novels that fit that mold, which everyone should read at least once in their lives.

The Scotiabank Giller Prize has been handed out for 25 years, recognizing excellence in Canadian fiction. Not only does the recipient win the award, but they also get a cash prize of $100,000.00. Last night author Esi Edugyan took home the award for her novel Washington Black, which happened to be the second time she had won it.
