From painting to glass blowing, the community nurtures and promotes many different forms of art. 

Self-guided Taste Trail tour

Foodies can enjoy the local wine and cuisine of the island with this self-guided tour. The Taste Trail is made up of artisan shops, restaurants, pubs and wineries. With spring around the corner,guests can also plan a visit during Prince Edward County’s Countylicious event. Hosted twice a year in April and November, the event features prix fixe menus at local restaurants, for an affordable fine dining experience. Each of the participating venues creates unique three-course menus which are meant to celebrate the county’s cuisine.

Once home sweet home to Sir John A. Macdonald, Prince Edward County is also a must-visit for the Canadian history buff. With five museums to choose from, history buffs can get a taste of the island’s heritage. The Wellington Heritage Museum features a unique canning collection, which highlights the importance of the canning industry in Prince Edward County during the late 1800s.

If you’re from Toronto, the thought of jumping into Lake Ontario may seem unappealing! However, Prince Edward County’s beaches are known for being tranquil, beautiful and welcoming.
