With April 22 marking Earth Day, this Friday is the perfect opportunity to showcase your love for our planet. Whether you’re a diehard environmentalist or simply looking to embrace new ways of green living, Earth Day offers a chance to channel your inner eco-conscious soul. From Toronto to Vancouver, here are a few Earth Day events to check out this week.

Earth Ball 2016, Toronto: For Torontonians who are looking to embrace the eco-friendly spirit in The Six, the annual Earth Ball is set to take place on April 22 at the Mill Street Brewery. With this year marking the 25^th anniversary of Earth Day, the ball is set to be an extravagant affair. The event is set to feature First Nations elder Josephine Mandamin, who is this year’s Outstanding Achievement Award winner. Meanwhile, David MacDonald, the special advisor from the Truth & Reconciliation Commission, is slated to be a keynote speaker. Guests can also tuck into dishes prepared by Chef Michael Stadtlander, participate in a silent auction and listen to tunes from actor Rick Miller and his band, Trainwreck.

Jour de la Terre Quebec at Redpath Museum, Montreal: On April 24, the Redpath Museum at McGill University is set to present a number of activities to celebrate Earth Day in Quebec. This family-friendly event includes a Family Nature Club, where visitors can learn how to create more environmentally conscious households. Meanwhile, kids are welcome to identify minerals, take part in a scavenger hunt and play games. The Earth Day festivities also include an Earth Day concert, which features nature-based folk songs from VOISA, a Montreal-based a cappella Georgian chorale group.

2016 Earth Day Celebration, Vancouver: Vancouverites can always stop by the city’s Earth Day parade, which launches at Commercial Drive and Broadway at 1 p.m. and travels to Grandview Park. Once it reaches Grandview, the parade transforms into a festival which runs until 5 p.m. The parade also features live music performances from local artists, like 15-year-old musician and songwriter Kalilah Rampanen, 22-year-old musician Luke Wallace and alt-root band The Nautical Miles.
