From Ontario to Manitoba, here are a few must-visit Canuck destinations for Summer 2016.

Grand Bend, Ontario: This Southern Ontario community is set on the picturesque shores of Lake Huron, and is famed for its local art galleries. If you’re a creative soul in search of Canadian culture, Grand Bend is home to over 20 galleries and studios. Visitors can take a Culture & Arts Walk on a Friday, or soak up the sunshine at Grand Bend’s Main Beach. While you’re in the region, you can also embrace the natural beauty of hiking trails and ravines in the Ausable River Cut Conversation Area.

Pemberton, British Columbia: As a quaint British Columbia village, Pemberton is located north of the Pemberton Valley. The village itself was founded in 1956, and boasts a tiny population of just over 2,360 residents. While you’re there, stop by the One Mile Lake Nature Centre, which is inside the One Mile Lake Park. Whether you choose to canoe, enjoy the scenery or take a brisk walk, the stunning landscape of this park just may complete your trip. Meanwhile, connoisseurs can drop by the Pemberton Distillery, or enjoy a signature all-day breakfast at the local Grimm’s Gourmet & Deli.

Churchill, Manitoba: This Manitoba destination is a small town situated on Hudson Bay, in the northern area of the province. Churchill is recognized as the polar bear capital of the world, and is also home to other critters like beluga whales and birds. If you want to explore Canada’s fur trade history, go kayaking or catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights, Churchill is an authentic Canadian escape. Visitors can also tuck into specialties like Arctic char at Gypsy’s Bakery and Restaurant, or try summer dog sledding for a fun local activity.
