For foodies wanting to expand their palates and are craving to explore different tastes, kick off the New Year with some mouthwatering cuisines and fine-dining experience at this year’s Winterlicious. The annual culinary event launches on January 29 and runs until February 11 to celebrate Toronto’s thriving food scene. Sample different dishes from over 200 of Toronto’s top restaurants and sip on a glass of white wine with a couple of friends or a loved one for a romantic night out.

The list of participating restaurants includes old favourites such as Nota Bene, Canoe and Aria Ristorante with new hot spots to try such as Bar Buca and Bent. With the prix fixe lunch and dinner menus ranging from $18 to $28 and $25 to $45, guests can treat themselves to a three-course gourmet meal for an affordable price.

The foodie fest also offers 11 culinary events throughout the two-week-long festival. These include sipping high tea at the grand palatial ballroom of Casa Loma to kneading dough in a pasta making session with chef Saverio Macri at Cibo Wine Bar and even a guided tour of contemporary artist, Song Dong’s art at the AGO followed by a five-course dinner with traditional Chinese cuisines.

So whether you’re looking to savour delectable gourmet entrées or are looking to learn a new skill or two in the kitchen, make sure to book early reservations to make the most of this culinary event.
