The Interior Design Show Kicks Off Today In Toronto – Here’s What To See

Whether you’re looking for some design inspiration to dress up your home for the season or just have a plain passion for decorating, the 18th Annual Interior Design Show officially kicks off today and runs until the 24th in the North Building of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

During the four-day  fair, various exhibits are displayed from Canadian designers, such as Caviar20, Caesarstone and Woodlove, as well as household names and emerging talent. The event aims to showcase cutting-edge designs and to celebrate the work of Canada’s thriving interior design community. Whether you’re looking to expand your knowledge of home decor history or are simply looking to view some unique window installations, here are some of the event’s highlights to check out.

If you’re looking to meet with VIP designers while sampling some of Toronto’s top cuisines, then join The Party tonight to check out what the show has to offer with guest of honour Tom Dixon while contributing proceeds to IDS’ partnered charity, Habitat for Humanity, from ticket sales.

Guests can also join the conversation on Globe Style Saturday and learn a few design trades and secrets from seminars held by the industry’s brightest and most successful design names. These experts include Omar Ghandi, the owner of Omar Ghandi Architect Inc., Canada’s leading young architect studio, as well as celebrity design guru Orlando Soria from HGTV’s home makeover series Secrets From A Stylist.
