On Friday, April 20, the 2018 Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards were held at the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto. This year marked the fifth anniversary of the annual awards show, which celebrates homegrown talent in fashion and design. Real Style was in attendance for the CAFA red carpet, cocktail reception and after party, for a true celebratory evening of Canadian style.

Although Toronto may settling in for a February chill, the city’s fashionable set has officially stepped out for the Fall 2018 season of Toronto Fashion Week. From daring denim to extravagant evening gowns, here is our runway report from Day 1 of this season’s shows.

For any Canadian fashionistas who are eager to slip into their most luxurious finery, Toronto Fashion Week just might offer an opportunity to dress up. The second season of the three day extravaganza of runway shows, panels and presentations returns to the city’s Yorkville area from February 5-7.

With Day 4 of the Toronto Fashion Week shows officially wrapped, the runways at David Pecaut Square showcased everything from architectural accessories to elaborate outerwear. For Fall 2016, bold statement looks were certainly en vogue on the Toronto catwalks.
