Yesterday, the Spring/Summer 2019 season of Toronto Fashion Week officially kicked off in the city’s Yorkville area, and once again featured the return of Canadian designers to the local runways. Real Style was seated front and centre in the front rows of the shows, and had a chance to see the latest and greatest from homegrown design talents. Here’s our roundup of Day 1 at TFW, which featured everyone from established names such as Mikhael Kale to rising stars like Mani Jassal.  

With summer officially coming to a close in the 6ix, it’s almost time for Toronto Fashion Week to hit the city’s upscale Yorkville area. The semi-annual fashion event runs from Tuesday, September 4 to Thursday, September 6, and is once again expected to feature a lineup of RESET studio presentations and runway shows from Canadian designers.  

With prom and wedding season rapidly approaching, Real Style decided to turn to a Canadian expert to learn more about mastering eveningwear for spring. Just in time for galas and wedding bells in the coming weeks, we caught up with Toronto-based eveningwear designer Nikki Wirthensohn Yassemi from Narces.

Although Toronto may settling in for a February chill, the city’s fashionable set has officially stepped out for the Fall 2018 season of Toronto Fashion Week. From daring denim to extravagant evening gowns, here is our runway report from Day 1 of this season’s shows.

With the revamped Toronto Fashion Week officially taking place in Yorkville this week, the local runways have brought us the latest and greatest creations from Canadian designers. As the creative force behind Toronto eveningwear label Narces, Nikki Wirthensohn Yassemi is known for her love of illustrious dresses. Recently, Real Style spoke with Wirthensohn Yassemi at the FashionCAN Pop-Up Shop at Toronto’s Yorkdale Shopping Centre. From her favourite fabrics to collaborating with her inspiring mother, the local talent spilled on the story behind her fairytale designs.

With yesterday marking the second day of the FashionCAN Fall 2017 shows at Toronto’s Yorkdale Shopping Centre, the catwalks were once again home to the finest in Canadian fashion.
