As the weather gets colder, fashion gets warmer, and that means that layers are officially back en vogue. Whether you want to bundle up on the way to the office or keep yourself cozy once the weekend hits, knitwear is the way to go this season. For Fall/Winter 2018, sweaters are bigger and better than ever before, and the runways are indicating that statement knits are the way to go. Here are a few catwalk inspired ways to rock knitwear trends right now, as spotted at Kenzo, Carven and 3.1 Phillip Lim.  

Kenzo  

At Kenzo, pastels are a sight to be seen, even though the balmy summer days are long past us. We are loving this pale blue cable knit sweater, which is paired with a silky lavender floral slip dress for a mixture of textures. Meanwhile, the contrasting yellow boots and studded metallic leather purse wrap up the overall ensemble.  

Carven  

Carven took patterns to the next level, in the form of a black, grey and white argyle sweater. The turtleneck collar and textured fabric offer a cozy feel, while the high-waisted black trousers help to create an hourglass silhouette. With T-strap flats added in for a finishing touch, this look is one which can inspire your own fashion for the office.  

3.1 Phillip Lim  

At 3.1 Phillip Lim, soft coral pink was a statement colour which made a splash on the runway. This ribbed turtleneck neck was styled with a powder blue, three-quarter length coat, a pair of loose brown trousers and chunky shoes. While the rest of the outfit might be edgy and loose, the dainty sweater keeps everything feminine, versatile and wearable.
