Over-The-Top Animal Prints Are Back As A Rising Trend
For Summer 2016, patterns have taken a trip over to the wild side, with animal prints making a huge comeback. Although traditional leopard and cheetah designs may have been popular during the colder months, this season’s animal prints feature all manner of beasts. Similarly to the wild and free animal prints of last spring and summer, exotic lions and snakes are once again en vogue. If you’re feeling the jungle fever vibes, here’s how to rock the newest animal prints to storm the runways.
Casual Chic
For a casual Saturday, try strutting the sidewalks in an army green and white lion printed tank dress (as spotted at Roberto Cavalli). The look of a graphic print, short hemline and a wide waist-cinching belt all help to complete the style. Meanwhile, oversized gold hoop earrings and brown suede ankle boots offer an edgy yet elegant accessorizing touch.
Work Wear
Try bringing a funky finish to your work wardrobe by drawing your sartorial cues from the Gucci runway. A pair of ankle length white trousers adorned with embroidered roses and snakes can create a refined silhouette. Style your bottoms with a matching fitted jacket, a blue button-down blouse and a pair of black leather loafers. Add a black leather belt with a gold buckle, and if you’re feeling especially daring, slip on a printed pink tie.
Evening
For a night out, look no further than the Valentino runway for a trendy Eastern influence. Step out in a green and orange printed halter dress with an elephant motif, and accessorize your outfit with a tribal collar necklace. Meanwhile, tribal printed flat sandals and a brown leather satchel will leave you ready to party- or perhaps stroll through an exotic marketplace!
