With creative director Alessandro Michele at the helm of Gucci, the Italian fashion house is quickly switching its design aesthetic to airy, ethereal creations. For Fall 2016, Gucci has officially unveiled a new fashion campaign which is set in Japan.

On their official Instagram, Gucci shared a few snapshots which offer a closer peek at the campaign. The latest ads were photographed by Glen Luchford, with Christopher Simmonds as art director in partnership with Michele.

The exotic ads have a clear Asian influence, as models pose amongst the cherry blossoms in Tokyo, at a tea shop and on streets like Harajuku or Shibuya Crossing. Meanwhile, the roster of leggy beauties includes the likes of Petra Collins, Lia Pavlova, Polina Oganicheva, Mae Lapres, and Sofia Friese.

Staying true to Gucci’s new signature style, the looks on display feature elaborate embroidered frocks, brocade coats and retro inspired oversized shades. Meanwhile, heavy embellishment, pops of light green and quaint patterns all help to add visual interest to Michele’s new designs.
