On Saturday, Louis Vuitton showcased its new Cruise 2017 collection in exotic Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. According to Fashionista.com, the French luxury fashion house held its latest show at the Niterói Contemporary Art Museum.
For Cruise 2016, creative director Nicolas Ghesquière turned to a vibrant colour palette and sent models down the catwalk in a variety of rainbow-hued looks. Figure-flattering frocks made a statement on the runway, along with eye-catching abstract prints.
Ghesquière also paid tribute to the culture of Rio, ahead of the Summer 2016 Olympics which will be held in the city this August. In terms of fashion, this translated into sporty pieces, prints inspired by soccer and primary hues.
On Louis Vuitton’s official Instagram account, the Paris-based label shared a few snapshots from the latest collection. From the funky location (which was designed by architect Oscar Niemeyer) to the quirky pieces, the Cruise 2017 line was a mix of effortlessly chic and sexy.
