Jonathan Van Ness was one of the most recent celebs to join in on the virtual talk show circuit via The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. During Van Ness’ segment he was asked about the practise of cutting hair at home. In these unprecedented times, getting a proper haircut from a professional is not an option for many. Fallon asked for advice on cutting one’s hair at home. Van Ness responded saying “I think the most important advice is to not . . . it’s just to not do it. Just don’t do it.  The average human head grows between a quarter to a half an inch a month so worst case scenario, this is going to give you like two inches, three inches of hair.” He recommended embracing a new longer look, staying away from cutting and thereby avoiding messing up your hair so bad that its still a problem after the quarantine is over.
