Last week Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne was in Toronto to help launch The Beauty Project, a Shopper’s Drug Mart online and instore installation that showcases the latest beauty launches.

The Toronto Star got a chance to chat with the star and ask her about her reported $40,000 beauty spending.  “That number is a little low, really,” she says. “It’s the cost of doing business! Other people agree. When your image is your living, you get to speak through your hair, makeup and wardrobe. I’m communicating through costume. Why would you give up on yourself? Women do not need to be put out to pasture in their 30s, or 40s!”
