Known as sunstripping, this rising makeup fad promises a glowing, sun-kissed visage, without the need to hit the beach. More specifically, sunstripping involves placing bronzer on the cheeks and along the nose bridge, in a single straight sweep.

If you have a naturally fair complexion or are hoping to brighten your olive skin, sunstripping just may be your beauty solution. As a more natural approach to the bronzed visage, sunstripping avoids the look of heavy makeup and aims to subtly warm up your skin tone instead. To achieve the look, beauty addicts are using makeup brushes to apply powder bronzer along their cheekbones and nose. Next, the bronzer is lightly blended in for a natural and soft effect, which instantly brings a trip to the beach to mind.

While the current temperatures may be frigid and winter may be well underway, there’s nothing quite like a barely there tan to remind us all of the beauty of summer. As we wait for balmy temperatures to return, sunstripping just may be warming up winter beauty regimens everywhere.
