According to Allure, sandbagging gets its name from the way it can anchor makeup and keep a face full of products under control. After all, sandbags are used to keep flood waters from spilling over and causing a disaster. In a similar manner, sandbagging your makeup can disguise those pesky under eye circles and offer the look of a glowing visage.

To achieve the look, beauty lovers are applying powder to this area using a dampened makeup sponge. Similar to the traditional baking technique, sandbagging then calls for dusting away the translucent powder in order to create a flawless effect.
