If you’ve been spritzing on the Chanel No. 5 all these years, you just may find yourself switching from the signature fragrance, as the French fashion house announces a new unisex perfume.

According to Women’s Wear Daily, this scent is created by Chanel perfumer Olivier Polge, and marks his second fragrance for the Les Exclusifs line. Polge, who officially joined Chanel in 2015, is the son of former Chanel fragrance creator Jacques Polge.

The iconic Paris-based label’s new perfume is inspired by the relationship between its legendary founder Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel and her lover, Arthur Capel. Taking its inspiration from the array of borrowed from the boys looks which have been sweeping the runways, the perfume is appropriately called Boy Chanel. In fact, Boy was also Capel’s nickname, which makes the moniker an even more suitable fit.

In a statement to WWD, Polge described his inspiration for the gender-neutral fragrance.

“My way of working on this fragrance was really not to try to make a unisex fragrance but really more to dive into men’s fragrance…and to show how well it could be worn by a woman,” he said.

As for the scent itself, it is said to include notes of lavender, rose geranium, the plant-based substance and compound coumarin and moss. Boy Chanel also blends fruity hints of lemon and grapefruit with rose, orange blossom, sandalwood, vanilla and musk.

The fragrance launches in the Chanel boutique in the Marais area of Paris today, and will make its international debut in early June.
