In breaking beauty news, Kelly Rowland has officially announced that she is launching a makeup line for women of colour. Since the 35-year-old singer-songwriter is known for her own flawless chocolate complexion and sultry eye makeup, this latest venture is certainly a suitable fit.

According to Essence, Rowland and her makeup artist Sheika Daley are planning a line which includes eyelashes and will flatter darker skin tones.

“But definitely making sure we have our chocolate girls covered. Gotta get the chocolate girls in there! We have to have that, you know. I think Iman has done a beautiful makeup line and I want to do it too!” said Rowland in a statement to Essence.

Although the songstress has not yet announced a launch date, the idea of a diverse makeup line will certainly appeal to multicultural beauty mavens. In the meantime, beauty lovers can stay tuned for further details on Rowland’s latest collaboration.
