Celebrity hairstylist, Chris Appleton has created showstopping looks for stars like Katy Perry, Dua Lipa and Ariana Grande among others. One of his most iconic clients however, is Jennifer Lopez. He has crafted a variety of looks for Lopez, everything from a short curly bob to sleek, long locks. Recently, Appleton shared tips with Forbes on how to create one of Lopez’s most iconic looks – wearing her most iconic outfit, the green Versace dress. Check out his tips below.

Follow these steps to create the look:

• First, blow out the hair smooth with a three inch big round brush and prep the hair with Color Wow Dream Coat.
• Then use a 3 inch big curling iron to create a flick at the ends of the hair.
• Next, make a half pony tail at the crown of the head with the hair around the face.
• It’s finished off with hair spray around the hairline to create a clean smooth finish. Making sure it sits low, allowing the hair to cascade like a waterfall.
