How To Achieve A Perfectly Classic Ponytail
Winter is notorious for its hair challenges. Many of us struggle with dry, hard to manage hair that can make the morning beauty routine a challenge (thank goodness its finally over). While we love our red-carpet hair looks, sometimes there’s just not enough time and you need a simple solution to your hair woes. That’s where a perfectly classic ponytail comes in. Youthful and relatively simple to achieve, a classic ponytail can be a great go-to style.
1). Wash, condition and dry hair. Separate the hair into two sections by gathering the front section together and securing it with a clip (half up half-down style) on top of your head.
2). Tie the lower half of your hair into a ponytail. Leave the front section of hair secured with the clip. Use a hair elastic to secure the bottom half of your hair into mid-height ponytail.
3). Remove the clip securing the top half of hair, comb the hair smooth using a round brush and tie into a ponytail (directly above your lower ponytail).
4). Gather both ponytails together and tie into one ponytail. Make sure ponytails are close together.
6). Wrap a section of hair around the base of your ponytail. Take a half inch to inch of hair from the ponytail and wrap it around the base of the ponytail to hide the elastic. Colorful hair ties, ribbon or even a scarf (see below) can also work well.
7). Use bobby pins to hold stubborn strands in place. Smooth away flyaways and secure your ponytail with finishing spray.
