Braids Are Back- Get The Hottest Spring 2017 Runway Hairstyle Now
If you spent your winter flaunting long, wavy tresses, Spring 2017 just may offer an opportunity to twist your flowing locks into intricate, feminine braids. Like many seasons before, this spring also saw the resurgence of braids on the catwalks. This time around, however, the humble plait is making a name for itself with its many revamped iterations.
For the boho babe with a carefree heart, the Roberto Cavalli runway offered a glimpse of effortlessly textured locks paired with tiny, loose braids. The skinny side braids are a playful approach to the trend, for those who aren’t fans of the classic thick plait.
Meanwhile, Dior presented a sleek yet edgy take on cornrows, with perfectly slicked back high buns paired with tightly woven plaits underneath. The funky hairstyle has a cool girl vibe, for a contrast against the schoolgirl braids which often dominate the spring runways.
Naturally, plaited pigtails also enjoyed their moment in the spotlight, with Simone Rocha turning to the trend. The look of double braids is no longer just for little girls, as models stepped out with perfect twin plaits.
Whether your personal taste is more schoolgirl chic or rebellious and slick, the season’s catwalks will no doubt offer some hair inspiration. Either way, one thing is clear- braids are back for yet another lap, and won’t be disappearing from the spotlight anytime soon.
