The Best Beauty Looks At The 2016 Critics’ Choice Awards
Last night, Hollywood’s A-List hit the red carpet for the 22nd annual Critic’s Choice Awards, with appropriately glamorous beauty looks to suit the evening’s mood. Statement eyes, chic updos and glowing skin were all the rage on last night’s red carpet. From Lily Collins’ goth inspired glamour to Emma Stone’s glittery lids, the Critics’ Choice Awards gave us plenty of hair and makeup inspiration. Here are our picks of the best beauty statements of the evening.
Lily Collins
The actress complemented her Victorian-style Elie Saab dress with dark, vampy makeup. Makeup artist Fiona Stiles emphasized Collins’ pale skin with a dramatic burgundy smoky eye with a gold inner crease. Her cheeks were lightly dusted in pink blush and her lips were painted with a bold deep berry ombré shade. Collins’ famous brows were played up for a high-drama look. Hairstylist Gregory Russell styled Collins’ hair in a messy, textured updo, complete with wispy strands and a volumized crown.
Emma Stone
Last night, Emma Stone showed us how to rock a statement lip and eye at the same time. Stone’s striking green eyes were highlighted with glittery white shadow and a thin cat eye created with liquid liner, while her lips were painted a glossy, bold red. Hair stylist Mara Roszak styled Emma’s long bob into a sleek, straight look that was elegant and refined.
Emmy Rossum
Emmy Rossum kept it fresh and simple on the red carpet last night with this sleek look. The actress’s glowing skin was accentuated with a hint of pink on the apples of her cheeks and on her lips. A statement blue eye in a winged shape added a bold touch to the otherwise neutral look. Rossum’s hair was styled into a sleek, tight ponytail, which added a modern touch to the timeless look.
