While the weather starts to change so should your beauty regimen. Similarly to how you switch up your wardrobe to adjust to the temperature change, it is the perfect time to change up your makeup bag from summer months to fall. From dark lipsticks to matte lid eye shadows, the reasons to get excited about autumn beauty are truly endless. Here are some tips for a seamless makeup transition between the two seasons.
Lips: Nothing says fall like a bold, wine-hued lipstick colour. As we transitioning from summer to fall, it is essential to swap out our brighter pink tones for creamy lipsticks in darker shades. Fall staple lip colours include beige, daring mauves, semi-matte reds, and ripe berry tones. For a more subtle fall look, try a glossy fig colour with a hint of sheer. You don’t necessarily have to go out and buy a ton of new lip colours. Try just changing up your lip liner to deeper shade to ultimately darken your lip colour. As the weather starts to cool down, a lip scrub is also useful to shed any dry skin.
Skin: The cooler temperatures are known for leaving skin dry, dehydrated and a little dull looking. While during summer months BB and CC creams were a go-to product, our skin begs for something richer and creamier as the weather changes. An ultra-hydrating foundation formula is necessary to cover any dry patches or imperfections on the skin. To keep skin glowing into the fall months, accentuate key areas by using a highlighter or luminizer.

Eyes: As we embrace the autumn weather, we are inspired by rich, matte eye shadows. Plum, brown, cranberry, grey and metallic eyeshadows can all look beautiful with a dark vampy lip. If you prefer to have a more neutral eye, use a soft matte beige topped with a black liner on the waterline for a simple yet sophisticated look.
Cheeks: With the shift in seasons, it’s now time to change how you apply your bronzer. Instead of applying bronzer to where the sun would hit your face, change it up to a more matte bronzer and focus on contouring the face as apposed to looking sun-kissed. Put the spotlight on the apples of the cheeks to produce a youthful, rosy effect.
