In the long awaited superhero flick Suicide Squad, Margot Robbie and Cara Delevingne abandon their usually glamorous personas to depict tough as nails supervillains on the silver screen. The movie (which opens today) stars 26-year-old Robbie as Harley Quinn, the seductive yet psychotic girlfriend of the Joker. Meanwhile, 23-year-old British model and actress Delevingne appears as the dark and edgy June Moone (also known as Enchantress).

Away from their usual flawless skin and expertly applied red carpet makeup, both of these stars look like completely different women on the big screen. Here’s a closer look at their most over-the-top makeup and hair looks from Suicide Squad.

Harley Quinn’s playful pigtails and brilliant red lips: Staying true to her love of vivid brights, Harley Quinn is quite the eccentric beauty with her multicoloured locks worn in fluffy pigtails. Her platinum blond colour, along with the dip-dyed blue and pink ends, offer the illusion of cotton candy. Meanwhile, the femme fatale’s smudged eye makeup and grinning red pout complete her outlandish beauty statement.

Enchantress’ wavy wet locks and smudged makeup: Delevingne may stun on the runways with her signature edgy look, but her Suicide Squad character is an entirely different story. As the eccentric Enchantress, her dark, tangled tresses, fierce facial expressions and smudged visage are clearly nothing but trouble.

Harley Quinn’s retro inspired waves: We may easily recognize Harley Quinn by her trademark pigtails, but she’s sporting a remarkably different hairdo in this scene from the film. Robbie’s character can be spotted with soft 1940s style waves, while her pink and blue ends are also fully on display. Paired with dark eyebrows, pale skin and bold lips, this is certainly an unapologetic look for the sexy villainess!
