With multicultural stunners like Jourdan Dunn quickly making a name for themselves in the modelling world, it’s no secret that the global catwalks are becoming an increasingly diverse sight. In breaking beauty news, Maybelline has officially appointed gorgeous Taiwanese model I-Hua Wu as its first Asian global face.
According to The Cut, Wu will be featured in ads around the world for Maybelline. With her flawless porcelain complexion, pouty lips and exotic eyes, Wu is certainly a radiant sight. On her official Instagram account, the elegant model shared a headshot of herself which features bold dark eyebrows and perfectly painted pink lips.
Although Wu is not a household name yet, her new gig at Maybelline makes her the first ever model of Asian descent to represent the beauty brand on a global level. In the past, Chinese model Shu Pei Qin was also an ambassador for Maybelline, but was not featured in international ads.
This breaking news is certainly a new step in the beauty game, with another striking face joining the ranks of international stunners. In the meantime, makeup devotees will have to keep an eye open for Wu, who just may be on her way to rising beauty trendsetter status.
