With Spring 2016 on the horizon, it’s officially time to refresh your skin after an entire season of dry, flaky arms and legs. Luckily, an effective sea salt body scrub can help to rejuvenate your epidermis after months of frigid temperatures and brutal arctic winds. As we prepare for warmer days and rays of sunshine in the weeks ahead, here are a few sea salt scrubs to try now.

AHAVA

1) AHAVA ‘DeadSea Salt’ Softening Butter Salt Scrub, $35: AHAVA’s solution is formulated with Dead Sea minerals and salt crystals, along with coconut oil, jojoba seed oil and sesame seed oil. The scrub also includes Dunaliella Seaweed, which claims to provide anti-aging benefits to the skin. This product states that it offers a smooth, buttery texture and a hydrating effect, which is said to give it the ability to transform into a lightweight lotion for dry skin.

OLE HENRIKSEN

2) Ole Henriksen Rub N’ Buff Salt Scrub, $48: This scrub by skincare brand Ole Henriksen claims to offer the skin intense at-home exfoliation, and is created with sea salt and botanical extracts. The formula also contains a mix of glycerin, sweet almond oil, lavender oil and lemongrass oil. As for the scrub itself, it states that it will hydrate and soften the skin, and can be used up to two or three times per week.

BLISS

3) Bliss Rosemary and Eucalyptus Hot Salt Scrub, $49: As a hot salt scrub from spa beauty line Bliss, this product claims to be a self-heating gel which will eliminate dry, rough skin. The glycerin in the formula is said to encourage the skin to hold moisture, while the mineral-enriched sea salt claims to exfoliate and remove dead skin cells. Meanwhile, the algae extract in the scrub claims to also offer mineral benefits and to encourage firm skin. Finally, the combination of eucalyptus, rosemary, and, lavender essential oils is said to offer a therapeutic scent.

TRISH MCEVOY

4) Trish McEvoy ‘No. 9 Blackberry & Vanilla Musk’ Body Polish Sugar Scrub, $81: Trish McEvoy’s scented body scrub is made with fruity top notes of blackberry, dark plum and mandarin, paired with floral middle notes of tiare flower and the osmanthus plant. Meanwhile, the base notes include woodsy cashmere, vanilla and velvet musk. As an exfoliating product, it claims to renew the skin with a blend of sea salt and sugar granules.
