With her signature thick eyebrows and fierce eye makeup, singer Charli XCX is easily recognized for her statement look. However, the 23-year-old British songstress is now taking a bold new step into the beauty world, as the newly announced face of Make Up For Ever’s latest campaign.
According to Women’s Wear Daily, the singer-songwriter is set to star in the French cosmetics brand’s upcoming ad campaign for its new Aqua XL Eye Pencil.
The updated eye pencil is slated to launch at the beginning of May, and will include a series of 20 shades which range from understated brown to brilliant green.
The line of Aqua XL Eye Pencils will be available in Matte, Diamond, Satin, Iridescent and Metallic finishes, and will also contain emollient oils and mango butter. The products are set to be carried at Sephora and Make Up For Ever locations, and will also be sold online.
As for the campaign itself, Charli XCX (whose real name is Charlotte Emma Aitchison) sports a neon eye look in the newly released ad. The edgy brunette stuns with her neon teal eyeliner, dark arches and neutral pink pout. With her love of playful colour and trademark funky aesthetic, we can certainly see why she is a fitting choice for this edgy new beauty campaign.
