Fatima Syed is a Toronto-born journalist whose adventures have brought her everywhere from the front rows of Toronto Fashion Week to the red carpet of the MuchMusic Video Awards. In 2012, she rst joined the Real Style team as a 21-year-old editorial intern—and has never looked back. After graduating
from Ryerson University’s prestigious School of Journalism, she began her career at Real Style as a writer and copy editor. Since then, Syed has interviewed the likes of Anna Sui, Marianas Trench, Alessia Cara and Sarah Ra erty. Whether

Tiago Chediak was born into a family of artists,
and raised among the key players of Brazil’s music, theatre and cinema scenes. Chediak built his career in a continuous stream
of Fashion Weeks in New York, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, and has had his photos featured in Marie Claire, Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue. In addition to his fashion and portrait work, Chediak spends time documenting un-distilled, urban life via analog photography. See his work in “Elements of Style” on page 56.
Pajkic’s makeup journey started in the capital of Croatia, Zagreb. Working alongside some of
the most talented Croatian photographers, stylists and makeup and hair artists, Pajkic has styled for fashion shoots, shows, bridal events, TV commercials, music videos, TV series and movies. She has also worked with some of the top celebrities in the region. See her work in “All at Glitters,” page 42.

Jelena Balić is a Croatia-based fashion and beauty photographer. Visual imagery always played a big role in her life, which she started expressing while studying graphic design in Zagreb, and later on with photography, especially fashion photography. For the last ve years her editorial work has regularly graced the covers and pages of magazines like Elle, Grazia, Harper’s Bazaar, Esquire and Glamour.
