The AGO is putting together the first-ever presentation of Brian Jungen’s art over the course of the summer. His sculptures are made of repurposed objects, and will all be on display alongside a new moving image that is being called epic.
HUGH JACKMAN June 25
Star of stage and screen, Hugh Jackman is a world renowned actor and performer who has decided to take his show on the road. He’ll sing and dance his way through several tracks from his hit shows such as The Greatest Showman, Les Misérables and The Boy From Oz. His lone Canadian stop is in Toronto at Scotiabank arena and will feature Jackman and a live orchestra.

Once a year it’s time for the greatest outdoor show in the world, and this year it really lives up to its name. From live rodeos, to exhibits, food, rides and more, there is something for everyone. The musical line-up this year is strong as well, from Tim McGraw to Sugarland, Sheryl Crow, Elle King, Lights, Daniel Caeser, the eclectic lineup is sure to keep visitors entertained.
IT’S ALIVE! CLASSIC HORROR AND SCI-FI ART FROM THE KIRK HAMMETT COLLECTION July 13 – January 5
Pop-culture art from Horror and Science-Fiction films will be on display at the ROM, thanks to Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett. His collection helps examine the connection between artistry, emotion and popular culture in 20th-century cinema.

ABC has taken the popular Spanish
series and created an Americanized version. Eva Longoria produces the show that takes “a look at the professional and personal lives of people working at a family-run hotel in Miami Beach.” For
the moment the show only has a 13 episode commitment to run over the summer, but if it’s a hit it could be a regular on the schedule.

Supernatural TV shows will always have an audience, and this
new series on NBC is the latest. It follows the story of a girl
with the ability to see and communicate with the dead, who is called upon to try and
help them with their unresolved problems. Eventually her talents catch the eye of the local police, who ask her to assist with solving some of the city’s most challenging cases.
