3WAYS TO WEAR A SLIP DRESS
You’ve probably seen Erica Wark—celebrity stylist, TV personality and fashion expert—on CTV’s The Social, The Marilyn Denis Show, etalk and Your Morning. Erica is all about having fun and helping others find their true style-selves,
so naturally, we reached out re: the Trapeze Slip Dress (Club Monaco, $255). Says Erica, “There are so many ways to style a slip dress, and using a bold colour is the perfect way to start!”
Casual: “Start with a double wrap skinny belt in camel to define the waist and add some warmth to your look. Keep the camel going with a cute crossbody or beachy oversized bag for an easy breezy, spring- to-summer look. Pop on a flat, lace up
sandal to keep it caj, or if you’re wanting some height, an espadrille wedge will knock it outta the park. Complete the look with a raffia style earring, ‘70s inspired sunnies and cropped, light wash denim jacket!”
Work: “Change out your denim jacket and add a boyfriend style, plaid blazer as your topper. Roll up the sleeves for a more relaxed look and a ladylike, structured handbag to keep it corporate. Finish your look with a sock boot ankle bootie and some layered delicate necklaces. If you’re still looking for more, add a wide, black belt and snatch that waist overtop of your blazer!”
Night Out: “Swap your 9-to-5 blazer with a leather, moto jacket to add some edge to this feminine frock. Pop on an oversized, silver hoop to channel your inner J-Lo, and finish your cocktail-ready look with a sexy, high-heeled, black, strappy sandal.”
