Tie-dye, the kaleidoscopic, colourful print
has made a comeback. Since first appearing in the ‘60s and ‘70s, when
it delivered a quintessential California vibe, today’s tie-dye is less chilled out surfer or psychedelic hippie, more high fashion trendsetter. And it seems like
every label, from Balmain, to R13, to Prabal Gurung, to Proenza Schouler, to Off-White, to Stella McCartney (to be continued), is opting to take the often marble-like or spiral pattern for a spin. Take a cue from the runway and have a spring fling with pieces that are fit to be tie...dyed.
