I was going to the gym and running a lot but I
was also touring (as a stage actor) so yoga was something I could easily take on the road and do anywhere (no gear or fancy equipment needed!)
I began practicing more frequently in my mid- twenties: I was born with Bilateral Congenital
Hip Dysplasia and doctors predicted I would have arthritis by 16 and need a hip replacement before
I was 30. I didn’t notice anything unusual until I was 25: my right hip was feeling very stiff and I had limited range of motion so I began working
on my hip flexibility through yoga in a more dedicated way. I’m 37 now: no arthritis and no hip replacement and my range of motion and flexibility has been restored.
