Every year it is a mixed bag of new shows beginning, old shows being rebooted and favourite shows ending. This year is no different.
First up, The Village, a new show premiering on NBC. It follows the story of the residents of an apartment building in Brooklyn who have
bonded together and have become more then friends; they have become family.
On the reboot side of things, CBS All Access’ The Twilight Zone is getting a lot of buzz thanks to Get Out’s Jordan Peele’s involvement, and the all-star cast he’s brought along with him. This science fiction/horror anthology series has been rebooted time and time again, but so far nothing has been able to match the originality and appeal of the late 50s series. Still, this one may just come close.
After 12 seasons, The Big Bang Theory is coming to an end. The show has seen the characters get married, have children and really just grow, and throughout
it all, the series has stayed near the top of the ratings. While it’s not known how the finale will play out, one thing’s for certain, it will live on in reruns for years to come.
Another beloved series is
also coming to end, as Game
of Thrones is finally airing the
final six episodes. Each episode
is said to be feature-length, and
the final battle apparently lasts
an entire episode. Fans of the
show have been waiting almost
two years for the eighth season
to air, so hopefully they won’t
be disappointed. The show is
expected to have a couple of
spin-offs as well, so even though this story will have been told, Westeros’ tale will go on.

    VANCOUVER CHERRY BLOSSOM

April is a beautiful time of the year, and it is even more so in Vancouver. The Cherry Blossom festival is held every April in the city to celebrate the beauty of their cherry trees. Several events take place during the festival as well, including a Haiku competition, photography contests, Sakura Night, the Kite Dance and of course, plenty of walking around the city to admire the beauty of the flowers.
