Cheryl Torrenueva: #1: THE JACK + JILL Colour Story This fall/winter you’ll see a happy balance of masculine and feminine touches, which I’m really pumped about! Rustic warm woods are introduced and paired with tailored tufted upholstery in soft greys. And don’t forget the hottest colour of the year,—Ballet Pink (a.k.a Millennial Pink).

+ Jill balancing act with the shapes of furniture as well! Minimal, clean lines in the coffee table, mixed with the soft curves of the sofa chaise. To get this look just think Rustic vs. Delicate details.
Trend #2: Get in the mood for pattern!
Similar to creating focal points on our walls using wallpaper and murals, what’s trending right now is making a statement
with zero apologies. You can easily create a mood with fabric (Floral velvet = glamour and drama or an oversized plaid can give you a relaxed, cozier feel). Now, you don’t have to go out and purchase all new furniture to be on trend. Personalizing one or two traditional pieces with interesting patterns can easily give you a modern twist with lots of visual pop. When you’re mixing patterns, always make sure to vary the scale of the patterns to create harmony.
