FUNKY MASCARA
It’s not just graphic eyeshadow that is getting a rainbow makeover this fall—brightly coloured mascara is also finding its way onto centre stage. If you really want to get the party start- ed, lashes painted in a vivid hue will surely help you steal the spotlight. Even Otis, who describes herself as someone who is “hard on mascaras,” has warmed up to the unconventional colour choices of the season. From red to pink, multicoloured lashes are quite literally an “eye-catching” way to finish off your nighttime makeup looks. We wouldn’t recommend neon mascara for the office, but you just might win a few admirers on the dance floor once the sun sets!
SOFT BROWNS
For those with more traditional tastes in makeup, softly blended brown eyeshadow is still en vogue. On the Fall 2018 runways, Otis did the eye makeup on the models for the Jacquemus show at Paris Fash- ion Week. She cites this particular look as inspiration for this trend, which you can also get at home. “We did this sort of smudgy brown eyeliner and I loved that. On some people we used a brown kajal, and on some people we used just regu- lar eyeliner. It was kind of smudgy and it gave you definition,” she ex- plains.
