 MUSIC
Drake – Scorpion
Whenever Toronto- based rapper Drake releases an album, it’s a big deal. Other than his two latest singles, “Nice For What” and “God’s Plan,” expected to be part of the album, not much else is known about Scorpion. But
as the follow up to his highly successful 2017 release More Life, this promises to be his biggest yet.
Christina Aguilera – Liberation
Christina Aguilera may not have released an album in six years, but with her latest two singles, it doesn’t appear as if she’s lost a step. “Accelerate” proves to the world that her music is ready to return to the dance floor, while “Twice” is a somber, towering ballad that showcases her powerful vocals. Once the new album is released, Aguilera will launch her Liberation tour as well, so expect to see and hear a lot more of her over the coming year.
5 Seconds of Summer – Youngblood
5 Seconds of Summer may have started out as a YouTube cover band, but they’ve turned into so much more. For their third studio album, the Aussie band demonstrate their evolution as a band, both in their songwriting and in their overall playing abilities. Their first single off the album,
“Want You Back,” has already turned critics’ heads for being more mature, more polished and a step forward.
    TV
     Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger
While it’s not surprising that yet another TV show is coming out based on a Marvel Comics’ property, it is surprising that it took as long as
it did for this one to arrive. Cloak and Dagger follows the story of two teenagers from opposite sides of the tracks who find themselves falling in love with one another while coming to terms with their recently acquired superpowers.
