line’s Gigi Hadid Liquid Strobe into your foun- dation. Next, Lee suggests using highlighter and focusing on your face’s natural high planes.
Whether your awards season inspired night out is a romantic celebration or an evening with your girlfriends, you’ll need your makeup to last until the wee hours of the morning. This can eas- ily be achieved with long wear products, designed to stay in place for up to 24 hours. Lee stresses the importance of long-lasting liquid foundation,
which can offer lots of coverage if needed. Once the cameras start ash- ing and sel es are posted, you’ll be wishing for a radiant, awless face. However, for those who desire a more natural look, this can be achieved with long wear foundation as well. “If you don’t need the high coverage, you can always sheer it down with more mois- turizer,” Lee advises.
Although a classic red carpet look involves staying away from over- the-top highlighter or fanciful neon shades, there is nothing wrong with a bit of colour. For Lee, this is primar- ily in the form of lipstick. “Red, bur- gundy, fuchsia all look stunning on red carpets and always look super glamor- ous.” If you prefer minimalism, you can always swap the scarlet pout for nude lips instead.
Last but not least, every beauty star knows that it is essential to tote a few essentials along for your evening out. Once you’ve perfected your founda- tion, touched up your lipstick and ensured that your winged liner is in place, it’s time to prepare your clutch. According to Lee, these portable beau- ty essentials include a pressed powder, blotting papers and your lip colour.
From radiant skin to perfectly ap- plied eyeliner, achieving red carpet makeup right
at home doesn’t have to be a beauty challenge. However you decide to experiment with glam-
our, avoid clashing shades that won’t photograph well, and stay away from the rainbow eye looks that are currently trending. At the end of the day, this month is all about channelling your inner screen queen. Think Marilyn Monroe and Brigitte Bardot and get ready to shine.
