real style spoke with the co-stars at cBc’s Winter 2018 Press day in toronto recently, where kreuk and mooney spilled on their on-screen ex- periences. as Joanna, kreuk plays a small town transplant who leaves the Prairies and moves to toronto to pursue her career. meanwhile, mooney stars as a former high school classmate of kreuk’s character, who continues to live and practice in their hometown of millwood. When a group of young girls in town suddenly fall mysteriously ill, Joanna and Billy nd themselves in the middle of a strange new case.
aside from their new roles, kreuk and mooney also chatted about their experiences in canadian television over the past decades. as a seasoned actor who has also been on the screen for years, Winnipeg-born mooney is known for his roles in Rookie Blue and Republic of Doyle. “every time, i get a little less bad,” he tells us with a laugh, when we ask him about his growth as an actor. meanwhile, the equally humble kreuk looks back to her edgling years in the industry wistfully. “i started working when i was 17 years old, which was nearly 20 years ago. i started with no sense of what i was doing!” she says.
